Abstract

Analisis Pergeseran Terjemahan dalam Novel Anak Berjudul Matilda Karya Roald Dahl Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pergeseran penerjemahan dalam novel Matilda yang diterjemahkan oleh Agus Setiadi. Data dikumpulkan dari novel berbahasa Inggris dan terjemahannya. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan empat jenis pergeseran terjemahan berdasarkan teori Newmark dengan menggunakan studi deskriptif-kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pergeseran terjemahan yang ditemukan dalam novel Matilda terdiri dari empat jenis pergeseran yaitu, Perubahan bentuk tunggal menjadi jamak dan posisi kata sifat, struktur gramatikal dalam BSu tidak ada dalam BSa, data benar secara tata bahasa tetapi mungkin tidak sesuai dengan penggunaan alami dalam TL, penggantian celah leksikal virtual dengan struktur gramatikal. Abstract This study aims to describe the translation shifts in the novel Matilda which was translated by Agus Setiadi. Data were collected from English novels and their translations. In this study, four types of translation shifts were found based on Newmark's theory using a descriptive-qualitative study. The results of the study show that the translation shifts found in the Matilda novel consist of four types of shifts, namely, changes in the singular to plural and adjective positions, the grammatical structure in SL does not exist in TL, the data is grammatically correct but may not correspond to natural usage in TL, replacement of virtual lexical gaps with grammatical structures.
