Abstract

ABSTRAK Sofiyatun. 2022. Peningkatan Keterampilan Menulis Cerita Pendek Menggunakan Media Pop Up pada Siswa Kelas V SDN Candi 02 Kecamatan Bandungan Kabupaten Semarang. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil menulis cerita pendek(cerpen) pada siswa kelas V SDN Candi 02 Bandungan. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini yaitu apakah media Pop Up dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek siswa kelas V SDN Candi 02 Bandungan?. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek menggunakan media Pop Up pada siswa kelas V SDN Candi 02 Bandungan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas V SDN Candi 02 Bandungan yang berjumlah 22 siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juli tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 2 teknik pengumpulan data yaitu: (1) Tes untuk mengetahui nilai menulis cerpen siswa, (2) Observasi yang dilakukan selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung untuk mengetahui keterampilan guru dan aktivitas siswa. Analisis data menggunakan teknik kuantitaif dan teknik kualitatif. Analisis data kuantitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis data hasil menulis cerpen sedangkan analisis kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis keterampilan guru dan aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa pada Pra siklus ke siklus II sebesar 36,8%. Hal tersebut terlihat dari ketuntasan pada siklus 1 yang tuntas 14 siswa (63,6%) kemudian naik pada siklus II menjadi 18 siswa (81,8%) untuk hasil keterampilan guru pada siklus I memperoleh nilai 2,8 (Baik) dan pada siklus II memperoleh nilai 3,6 (sangat Baik). Untuk aktivitas siswa juga mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Pada siklus I siswa yang sangat aktif 1 orang (4,5%), aktif sebanyak17 siswa (77,3%) dan yang cukup aktif sebanyak 4 siswa (18,2%). Pada siklus II siswa yang sangat aktif 2 orang (9,1%), aktif sebanyak 17 siswa (77,3%) dan yang cukup aktif sebanyak 3 siswa (13,6%). Dengan demikian dapat didsimpulkan bahwa media Pop Up dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek siswa kelas V SDN Candi 02 Bandungan. Sri Widayati, M.Si, Advisor: Atrianing Yessi Wijayanti, M.Pd. This research is motivated by the low results of writing short stories (short stories) in fifth grade students at SDN Candi 02 Bandungan. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether Pop Up media can improve the short story writing skills of fifth grade students at SDN Candi 02 Bandungan?. The purpose of this study was to improve the skills of writing short stories using Pop Up media in fifth grade students of SDN Candi 02 Bandungan. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were all students of class V SDN Candi 02 Bandungan, totaling 22 students. This research was conducted in July of the academic year 2022/2023. In this study, 2 data collection techniques were used, namely: (1) Tests to determine the value of students' short stories writing, (2) Observations made during the learning process to determine teacher skills and student activities. Data analysis used quantitative and qualitative techniques. Quantitative data analysis was used to analyze the results of writing short stories while qualitative analysis was used to analyze teacher skills and student activities during the learning process. The results showed that there was an increase in students' short story writing skills in the pre-cycle to the second cycle by 36.8%. This can be seen from the completeness in the first cycle which was completed by 14 students (63.6%) then increased in the second cycle to 18 students (81.8%) for the results of the teacher's skills in the first cycle getting a score of 2.8 (Good) and in the first cycle II got a score of 3.6 (very good). For student activities also increased in each cycle. In the first cycle, there were 1 students who were very active (4.5%), active were 17 students (77.3%) and those who were quite active were 4 students (18.2%). In the second cycle, 2 students were very active (9.1%), 17 students were active (77.3%) and those who were quite active were 3 students (13.6%). Thus, it can be concluded that Pop Up media can improve the short story writing skills of fifth graders at SDN Candi 02 Bandungan. Keywords: Short Story Writing Skills, Pop Up Media
