Abstract
ABSTRAK Sulistya, Baby Dian Agus Iin Dwi. 2022. Efektivitas Metode Simulasi Dalam Pembelajaran IPA Terhadap Pengetahuan Mitigasi Bencana Gempa Bumi Siswa Kelas V SD Muhammadiyah Kecamatan Klaten Utara Kabupaten Klaten. Skripsi, Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Darul Ulum Islamic Centre Sudirman GUPPI Ungaran. Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh kurang maksimalnya pengetahuan mitigasi bencana gempa bumi siswa kelas V SD Muhammadiyah Kecamatan Klaten Utara. Rumusan masalahnya yaitu apakah metode simulasi dalam pembelajaran IPA efektif terhadap pengetahuan mitigasi bencana gempa bumi siswa kelas V SD Muhammadiyah Kecamatan Klaten Utara. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode simulasi dalam pembelajaran IPA terhadap pengetahuan mitigasi bencana gempa bumi siswa kelas V SD Muhammadiyah Kecamatan Klaten Utara. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 75 siswa kelas V. Sampel berjumlah 50 siswa dengan siswa kelas eksperimen berjumlah 25 orang siswa dan kelas kontrol berjumlah 25 orang siswa. Sampel dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 13 sampai 14 Juni 2022. Variabel yang diteliti meliputi: metode simulasi dan pengetahuan mitigasi bencana gempa bumi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik tes untuk mengukur hasil pengetahuan mitigasi bencana gempa bumi. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t dengan melakukan uji normalitas dan homogenitas terlebih dahulu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode simulasi dalam pembelajaran IPA efektif terhadap pengetahuan mitigasi bencana gempa bumi. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan hasil uji hipotesis dengan rumus uji t, yaitu dengan nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (3,2539 > 2,010) maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Artinya metode simulasi dalam pembelajaran IPA efektif terhadap pengetahuan mitigasi bencana gempa bumi siswa kelas V SD Muhammadiyah Kecamatan Klaten Utara. This research is motivated by the lack of maximum knowledge about earthquake disaster mitigation in fifth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah North Klaten Regency. The formulation of the problem is whether the simulation method in science learning is effective on knowledge of earthquake disaster mitigation in fifth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah North Klaten Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the simulation method in science learning on the knowledge of earthquake disaster mitigation in fifth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah North Klaten Regency. The type of research used is experimental quantitative research. The population in this study amounted to 75 students in class V. The sample consisted of 50 students with 25 students in the experimental class and 25 in the control class. The sample was selected by cluster random sampling technique. This research was conducted on June 13-14, 2022. The variables studied included: Simulation methods and knowledge of earthquake disaster mitigation. The data collection technique used in this study is a test technique to measure the results of earthquake disaster mitigation knowledge. Hypothesis testing using t test by testing normality and homogeneity first. The results showed that the simulation method in science learning was effective on knowledge of earthquake disaster mitigation. This is evidenced by the obtained results of hypothesis testing with the t-test formula, namely with the value of tcount greater than ttable (3.2539 > 2.010), then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This means that the simulation method in science learning is effective on knowledge of earthquake disaster mitigation in fifth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah North Klaten Regency.
