Abstract

ABSTRACT Roads are one of the most popular transportation infrastructures in Indonesia. The high mobility between the core city and supporting cities requires adequate road performance. One of the connections between the core city and the surrounding cities is the Kedungsepur Area (Kendal, Demak, Ungaran, Semarang, and Purwodadi). The Kedungsepur Area which forms this Metropolitan Area is located on the northern coastline of Java. Pantura which is the main route of Java Island is known to have a high load so that it experiences a decrease in performance so that other options are needed for the user community. The Semarang - Demak Toll Road was built to meet these needs. The Semarang - Demak Toll Road is located in the North Coast of Java which has alluvium soil. The main materials in this area are clay and silt which have quite low bearing capacity. This causes the Semarang - Demak Toll Road to be built with Slab on Pile construction. Of course, apart from the influence of Rob Floods and the land subsidence phenomenon. Structural planning is carried out with initial data in the form of Standard Penetration Test (SPT) data. Through the N value of the SPT, the consistency of the soil at a certain depth can be determined. The results of data processing show that in Zone 1 the depth of soft soil reaches 16 m and hard soil is only found at a depth of > 44 m. In Zone 2 the depth of soft soil reaches 10 m, while soil with hard consistency is only found at a depth of 40 m. In addition, the increase in N-SPT is greatly influenced by the addition of test depth. In Zone 1, the correlation between N-SPT and test depth is known to be y = 0.5861x - 2.4437 with an influence level of 90.05%. In Zone 2, the correlation between N-SPT and test depth is expressed in the equation y = 0.6452x - 1.6571 with an influence level of 81.61%.
