Abstract

Social security for workers is an essential component of legal protection in employment relationships. This study aims to examine the implementation of workers’ rights to BPJS Ketenagakerjaan at PT Sahabat Unggul Internasional from the perspective of Law Number 6 of 2023 concerning Job Creation. The study employed a socio-legal (sociological juridical) approach with a descriptive-analytical method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and literature studies and analyzed qualitatively by comparing field findings with applicable legal provisions. The findings show that the company has fulfilled key obligations related to worker registration, participation, data submission, and contribution payments. However, substantive protection remains a concern, particularly regarding workers’ understanding of their rights, available benefits, and access to BPJS services. The study concludes that compliance with administrative obligations should be accompanied by regular socialization, accurate data management, contribution monitoring, and accessible information on benefit procedures to ensure effective and sustainable worker protection.
