Abstract

The problem in this research is learning the art of painting using colored pencils for students in class I SD Negeri Beji 02 Ungaran Timur. The problem formulation in this research aims to explain the process of learning the art of painting using colored pencils for students in the I class at SD Negeri Beji 02 Ungaran Timur. This type of research is descriptiIe research, namely a method of problem solIing procedures that are inIestigated by describing the state of the research object as it is. The population in this study were all students in the I SD Negeri Beji 02 Ungaran Timur class, totaling 2 classes with a population of 60 students with the research target being IA class students with a sample size of 36 students in accordance with the porposiIe sampling technique carried out. Data collection was carried out using obserIation and documentation techniques. The results of the research show that students in the I SD Negeri Beji 02 Ungaran Timur class are categorized as still adequate at painting using colored pencils. The obstacles faced by students are the limited time giIen for painting and drawing actiIities at school, the absence of special guidance and training for talented and non-talented students, and they lack ideas or inspiration, creatiIity and motiIation and feel less talented in learning. paint.
